Pretty sweet album of free-drone-psyche-noise type stuff from New Zealand's Anthony Milton - head-honcho of Pseudoarcana Records and also a member of The Stumps who you may know from Digitalis Records - he's alsoin many other projects but this is was the first name I recognized.
Whining and howling, ritualistic and enchanting, the album has everything you need for a good psyched-out mellow moment. Feedback guitars, rumbling drums, washes of cymbal, fiddly microtones - a nice soundscape from start to finish but the real standout track is the 19-minute live final title track, "Long Shadow Of A Dream".
Another fine release from Students of Decay - who also released the brilliant Isengrind/Twinsistermoon/Natural Snow Buildings double-CD split recently.
