Good low-key countryfied folk with lots of nice subtle embellishments. On top of a base of acoustic guitar and Brook's mellow and milky voice they've added some backing vocals, banjos, accordion. Brook is a strong songwriter with a knack for a memorable melody and he delivers the songs in a smooth voice that helps sell the tunes.

For the most part the songs are very easygoing and quiet but the album has a nice pick-me-up in the form of the eight track, "After The Morning After", it reminds me of something maybe John Cougar would have done back in the day, nice simple backbeat drums with cowbell and a Stonesy electric guitar.

Danny Michel's production is appealing - the album has a very organic feel with ambient room sounds creeping in to the recording here and there, but it's still a very clean and professional sounding album. This would appeal to fans of Ron Sexsmith, Al Tuck, Rodney Decroo, Rae Spoon and other purveyors of rootsy folk/rock.
