The album art for Vertical Lines A is really cool. It is this ripped piece of cardboard held to together by and old piece of twine. Inside is what looks like home made paper again torn with snippets of lyrics in bizarre angles and appearances, crisscrossing overlapping each other, punctuated by print type art.

This dude obviously really knows what he’s doing when it comes to design in fact for the art work I would give this album a 10 out of 10 if I were to give it a score, or an A+, two thumbs up, whatever works for you.

You should be able to get it at this point. It is a truly awesome looking disc, it makes me want to absolutely own it and display it with pride on my shelf, hell if I saw it for sale from one of those ratty cock suckers that sells stuff on the street outside trendy stores I would at least take a second, or third glance.

No for the music. Unfortunately the music does not hold up to the awesomeness of the art. While starting out really well as experimental ambient pieces, each song quickly dives right in to the most asinine lousy pop music, with Sugar Ray like vocals.

I don’t really get it, the music could be really cool, and reflect the artiness of packaging, it doesn’t really need to add the bad pop style to it, and when I say bad I mean like alt rock bad.

Yeah at that level. Like just cheesy and not thought out. Maybe this is a bit harsh, but I think this fellar needs to hear it. Making pop music is fine, making experimental pop music is fine, hell adding sappy vocals to weird music could be fine too, but don’t take pop lessons from alt rock. Actually its almost worth hearing, it works so unwell.
