So apparently All Hyllest Til Satan was recorded in 1999, and not mixed and released till almost ten years later, due to some problem or other of labels falling apart or something. And though I do have to say it does sound a little dated, but only dated in the best possible way.
Basically Bloodsworn make really lo-fi raw death metal that is full of just lots of anger and total nonsense and chaos. All full of satanic memorabilia and lots of references to the dark lord and evil, plenty of evil. You could say evil from another time even. Ouch that burns. Yeah pretty much how the album sounds it burns, burns your ears burns you soul, your mind, you body. And then after it is done burning you it beats the hell out of you and sonically pummels you in ever possible way.
Their tagline seems to be (being Norwegian and all) they were there before the first church burnt to the ground and so Bloodsworn won’t back down now. And from the sheer brutality of this music I don’t doubt it either. I mean this is some pretty fist-pumping, head-banging, shit-kicking, toaster-eating music. Like I think these guys chew on metal and that’s just for fun, and probably metal appliances that are still plugged in – that is how evil this is.
Pure pummelling sound, lightning fast and so just chaotically noisy. Oh yeah just terribly angry. There is a weird synth element to it all, which is buried in the background and sort of makes this weird gothic backdrop that only pokes its’ head out here and there, which is pretty interesting. The main focus would be the guitars though those things overarch everything else and pound the crap out of the whole damn package. There are some odd noisy distortions on the vocals at times to making it sound almost robotic or at least yelled through a steel pipe, but it sounds totally terrifying.
