My bad friend Stephen is coming to visit this week. He's a bad, bad man that drinks way too much and loves to listen to silly experimental music; the frillier the better. . And not that you'd care but I mention it because this is the type of thing he is going to absolutely try and steal. It suits his tastes perfectly, happy electro-pop. Now not necessarily a bad thing, I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth stealing.
There are a lot of interesting tracks on this, ranging from groovy deep fun, to glitch and blippy with lots of happy, happy vocals. If you like frilly electro style electronics there is guaranteed to be something you would like on here, if you're looking for a new band to be the first on your block to listen to I think you'll also be in luck. There really is a grab bag of poppy electronica a little bit of everything you could like.
Though in all fairness, like most compilations, it's a bit hit and miss. It starts with a great Kevin Blechdom track, but the Heidi Moretenson and Scream Club I'm a lot less impressed with. Although not bad musically it suffers from the trying to hard to be impressive syndrome. Dynasty handbag provides a decent track and Miss Le Bomb stands out. And you get 2 bonus videos. So hell, not bad all around really. Now I think I'm gonna go hide it.
