Yet another killer comp of future funk, hip hop rhymes and 21st century disco jazz from the Compost label. Isar Gold concentrates specifically on the vibrant Munich electronic scene.

Ben Mono’s “Transmission” is a great track featuring Capitol A, Leroy Hangover’s “Bathroomboogie” turns up the sex to 11 with a female vocalist whose rax sexual charisma would make even Peaches jealous. That sexy vibe continues with Maullem’s Sweat before things head to disco kitsch territory on Magnifique’s “Magnifique”.

If anybody’s not dancing by the time Discopatrol’s “A Long Way To The Top” rolls around, this track will change that. General Electric’s “Facing That Void”, remixed here by Beanfield, features a great rhyme and infectious bass line.

Electronic wizardry takes a step into the future on Julius Kammerl’s “Dromedar” – beats and synths - so solid and beautiful - shift effortlessly from straight to shuffle and back again. The track drags a bit though in the end, not offering too much in the way of musical content.

The album ends on a very mellow note with Lali Puna’s “Together In Electric Dreams” which is very loosely based on the brilliant original by Giogio Moroder.

Another solid Compost compilation – take note though that a number of the tracks on this CD are also on the Compost 200 Freshly Composed CD. Recommended for fans of smooth futuristic funk, disco, jazz and hip hop electronics.
