The eight songs on Baltimore Trees feature a loose mix of guitars and banjos backing up the heart-melting voice that Sonya Cotton has been blessed with. Cotton's songwriting is almost equally strong – the title track, "Baltimore Trees" is particularly exquisite. I haven't heard a female singer-songwriter this impressive since last year's Linda Draper album. Recommended!
