Fans of DFA and The Rapture will want to check out the Gomma label. The label has been specializing lately in discofied electronica and this is a compilation of that kind of stuff featuring label artists like Who Made Who and remixes and collaborations with noteworthy DFA artists James Murphy and The Rapture.
The artwork is a curiosity - on the front cover the 3 is rotated 90 degrees and made to look like tits, The CD too is designed to look like a boob.
Hard to focus on specific tracks because Gomma Gang 3 really feels like a gang effort - very consistent aesthetic throughout and most tracks are equally solid. There's lots of disco beats and conga patterns, lots of affected vocals, some nicer vocoder work, just generally a good time.
If you like to dance you'll like this album. Guaranteed to take your party to the next level.
