Toronto’s I Am Robot and Proud weaves an elegant and mesmerizing tapestry of gently gurgling electronica with instant appeal to fans of Boards, Plone, Plaid, and other IDM artists along those lines.

Not too much to say about this album – it is what it is. Very good electronica, intricately put together, sweet gurgly sounds, gentle beats and unobtrusive relaxing textures.

The cover artwork, created by Robot and Proud’s Shaw-Han Liem pretty much says it all – a cute penguin sits in pleasant contemplation as bubbly spirals whirl and eddy off into the distance. If your ears need a break from the abrasive world outside, to be tickled and delighted, relaxed and rejuvenated, I Am Robot and Proud is your man, The Electricity in Your House Wants to Sing is your album.
