Singers... Talkers... Players... Swingers... & Doers is a wild swinging sixties album from 1968 that's just been re-released by the fine folks at Fallout. A one-off studio project, The Hellers sound like a cross between purveyors of sixties sunshine like Free Design, Inner Dialogue and the Dave Pell Singers - with sixties electronic mavens such as Bruce Haack. Throw in some random, jokey psychedlic wackiness and you're starting to get the picture. Loungey bossas are not overlooked either.
Pure pleasure and totally annoying in equal part, The Hellers is not an unchallening listen but it's well worth the effort. This delightful obscurity was apprently the product of jingle composer Hugh Heller and arranger Dick Hamilton. Robert Moog apparently contributed as well. If you can get beyond - or even enjoy - the skit-like spoken word bits - you're in for a treat with The Hellers.
