The Octopus Project

This is happy record. Ahhh yeah happy. so happy. And floaty and dreamy, sigh. What a gorgeous day. I think I'll look at the sun and follow the moon. happy. Oh so happy that dreamy Theremin is just so, so happy. I love Theremins.. Even these little rock out parts are so nice just makes me glad maybe the sun will stay high today be nice and lovely hopefully the twilight wont come too bad I didn't start this first thing in the day. .. That would really have motivated me to do something other than just laze around, and watch Scrubs..

For some reason I always watch Scrubs when I have nothing to do, I found every episode online. And what's weird is, I don't even really like Scrubs, but for some reason I watch it on days like this. .. But this I would have actually enjoyed. It's just like some sort of poppy electronic rock mush and it just makes me tingle all over and these little moments where they try to rock out are ever so cute, it's really an adorable record. Even the cover art has bunnies.. Okay they're not really bunnies.. Some sort of white amorphous creature, but I'm gonna pretend they're bunnies, because you know what, and I'm not ashamed of admitting this, bunnies make me damn happy. And I'd like to squeeze them and hold them. Maybe Octopus Project too, maybe I'd like to squeeze and hug them too. If they are in person anything like this album, that's exactly what I'd like to do. Shame on whoever labelled them noise rock band to, that's not nice at all.

How can something this happy be noise. That just seems cruel. Come on, I mean noise makes me think of something aggressive and kind of sinister, not at all poppy fun goodness. Like sugar and candy.. Actually I think it's kind of like saying chocolate tastes sugary, yeah something like that; I mean had you never eaten chocolate before and someone said to you oh it's kind of sugary, you might hesitate right, you'd think oh but I like flavour not just sugar. Sugar is great, but sugary I don't know so much about that. And you might decide not to pay any attention to chocolate and then you'd totally be missing out on one of the greatest things in the world. Okay and not that Octopus Project comes anywhere near chocolate, but it is happy and light. And the Theremin just makes such twinkley noises. Yeah there is a heavy Theremin component that is just so cute. And by heavy I mean heavy use, not heavy sound, don't worry about that, there is no heaviness at all here. Just happy, happiness.
