This is an album that is two cds that really should have been one. I guess you could call it techno-disco with a Pet Shop Boys vibe throughout. Then we get a little more funky and a little melody manges to slip through the reprogrammed cracks. It’s not that I didn’t, or don’t, like it, it’s more a case of under production of what should be hammering dance tracks.
If it knew what it wanted to be it might have been a little easier to accept. But instead it has a musical, multiple personality disorder where multiple listens are certainly not the cure all. No, not a throw away, not even a stay away, just a case of doldrums monotonousness and musical sameness. But, all that said, if you are interested in where dance pop is going and how it got there, it comes recommended. I love the cover...
