Carquinez Straits is a roots rock/psychedlic/indie/folk band out of Sacramento, CA. Formed in 1999, they have released 3 albums - The Flat Earth Just Got Flatter, Where The Freeways Arc Over the Burnt Edges, and Humiliation Jacket. They have been compared to Camper Van Beethoven, Thin White Rope, the Meat Puppets, Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Pavement, etc. Band members are Jed Brewer (gtr/voc), Greg Hain (bass/voc), Paul Takushi (drums), and Mark Searle (gtr.)
