Pop Montreal Is Back!

Pop Montreal is back for another year of musical awesomeness starting Wednesday, October 3, 2007, running til Sunday. October 7.....

Pop Montreal is one of North America's finest and coolest music festivals, distinguished by it's off-the-beaten-path lineups and cool venues. Last year I had the incredible pleasure of seeing Vashti Bunyan, Joanna Newsom, Al Tuck, Glass Candy, Beach House, Ecstatic Sunshine, Joe Grass, Roky Erickson, and Spider.

This year's lineup looks amazing too, with highlights that include Half Japanese, Patti Smith, Pere Ubu with Fucked Up, a reunited Eric's Trip after all these years, British punk legends UK Subs, comedy legend Mort Sahl, Ron Sexsmith, Providence's accordion dude Alec Redfearn, Vancouver stoner rock beardos Black Mountain, and a million and a half other great shows plus the Puces Pop art and craft festival again this year.

If all this wasn't enough keep in mind that passes for the whole frigging festival are only 80 bucks taxes in!
